The garden has over 189 varieties with many being in full bloom at different times of the year. If you visit in early May, you’ll see the most beautiful, magnificent roses in bloom. The Rose Garden sits on 5 ½ acres of land, which used to be an orchard in its younger days. The beautiful roses draw hundreds of visitors to the garden year after year. 

Once you see this charming neighborhood with its unique homes, you’ll know why it was named for the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden across 5 ½ acres with over 3,500 rose bushes. As one of San Jose’s oldest neighborhoods, many historic mansions and estates are still present, giving the wide tree-lined streets and eclectic mix of architecture. With excellent schools nearby—both public and private—and just south of Santa Clara University, this neighborhood is great for students. The Diridon Train Station is close by, making your daily commute easier and less stressful.
